Skin Care with Essential Oil Rollers
Hi Friends! For a while now, I have been putting essential oils straight on my skin for acne, dryness, oily T-zone area, for fighting age, for healing cuts or open acne wounds and even just for using as a semi-base for foundation!
My favorite oils to use on my face:
Melaleuca - to clean, to kill bacteria and wounds, to help against oily skin (aka hawaii skin)
Geranium - to help sooth dry and tired skin, to smell good, to heal bleeding skin (acne break)
Lavender - to disinfect yet soothe skin at same time, to help with pain (bruise) and heal scars, ease itchy skin, help around eyes for pink eye (NOT IN EYE!)
Helichrysum - to open pores and help the skins natural breathing (when congested), to use as a natural sunscreen, to ease itchy skin, to retain youth in skin
To make this, you need:
- an empty 10ml glass roller-bottle
- its corresponding roller-ball plug (usually steel, resin, or gem)
- the corresponding bottle cap (either a twist-on or a flip-cap)
- fractionated (without the fat so it doesn't harden) coconut oil or other carrier oil
- Essential oils (*If you do not have essential oils or fractionated coconut oil, PURCHASE HERE)
Steps to follow:
Step 1: Set your empty Roller Bottle upright on a table or flat, steady surface.
Step 2: Drop in your chosen essential oil or combination of oils into the bottle. I used 10 - 20 drops in a 10ml bottle. *Shown above is a 5ml bottle
Step 3: Open your DoTerra coconut oil (this is already without the fat in it so the roller blend will not harden). I find it easier to pull out the reducer top that is in place and use a pipette dropper (pictured) to extract the coconut oil and dispense it.
Step 4: Dispense your coconut oil (or another carrier oil like almond, avocado, shea oil) into the roller bottle until the bottle is filled.
Step 5: Plug in the roller-ball top that corresponds with your bottle.
Step 6: Roll on your new oil blend! Enjoy this easier application of essential oil benefits throughout your day! Cap when not in use.
